- Develop IT plan to achieve current goals and future business needs.
- Serve as project manager to facilitate moves to new office space. Includes working with architects, general contractors, Internet Service Providers (ISPs), phone, sound, TV and other contractors to plan computer space, infrastructure, and wiring.
- Recommend and configure Internet connectivity options for wired and/or wireless systems.
- Coordinate with software vendors to integrate their software into new and existing systems.
- Research the best products and prices for all equipment. Note: we do NOT resell any product in order to generate independent recommendations.
- Review or generate disaster recovery and backup plans.
- Integrate cloud and off-site server and storage.
- Communicate technical information in a way that is understandable to the non-techy.
- Provide written computer procedures.
- Provide referrals to experts in other IT areas.
